Location: Upper East Side
Today was so nice. The sun came out and temps went up to like 40 degrees! If you stayed on the sunny side of the street, you could almost trick yourself into believing it was spring. After so many days of wearing nothing but loungewear and staying indoors, I wanted to obviously be warm, but still look nice. I had no set plans for the day, only that I needed fresh air and wanted to venture further than my block’s radius…so I went up to Park Avenue. If you ever want to strut like a New Yorker just for fun, Park Avenue on the Upper East Side is the place to do so. But if you’re an avid Gossip Girl watcher like me, you already know this.
I always say the best investments you can make are coats. In the winter, they practically are your outfit, and if cared for properly, they can last a lifetime. That’s not to say you shouldn’t have a little fun with your outerwear collection, too. This H&M faux fur coat is one of these instances. Believe it or not, it’s quite warm. Leopard is a great print because it can be worn as a neutral: with jeans, all black or all white, so it’s more versatile than you may think. This H&M coat is still available (and on sale!), but I’ve also linked other options as well.
This is my mom’s Mark Cross bag from back in the day. One of my biggest style icons and teachers of fashion and the industry has always been my mom. It’s not surprising to me that she has incredible items from designers before the became ultra famous, like this bag. Unfortunately, I have the iPhone Plus, so this bag is a little tight for modern technology, but aside from that I think it’s perfect. There’s nothing like a cross body bag in the city. It frees your hands and keeps you from carrying too much with you. Plus, you can never go wrong with black: perfect for day or night.
