My favorite social media platform to use and waste time on is without a doubt, Instagram. However, after stalking myself a few too many times, I’d realize when I would come up for air, I was upset. I take precious care to curate my photos, and to edit them just-so.
But when I’d look back, I’d see how my photo-editing has progressed (that’s cool), but I’d also see photos that reminded me of wonderful, fun times. The more recent ones were kind of less memorable, and more about aesthetic. And now…I’m over it. While I don’t think I’ll ever shake the need to have a feed that flows, I am re-introducing the people I care about and more impromptu snaps to my feed.
I wanted to come here to share this with you because I would bet money on the fact I’m not the only one who wastes hours on this app. I encourage you to limit yourself to a couple of times a day, and to disconnect more often. Experience your life then share the memories, not the other way around!
