While this smoothie is not technically a summer recipe, in cooler months, I prefer a hot bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. I found this recipe for a breakfast smoothie on Pinterest when I lived in Boston, and I’ve been in love with it since then. Sometimes I pair it with a hardboiled egg (sometimes I can’t deal with the texture of eggs…I go through food phases), and if not, with a piece of toast. Here it is!
1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
Pinch of Cinnamon, Flax Seeds, Chia Seeds
1/2 cup Blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1/3 cup Rolled Oats (love the TJ’s and Whole Foods brands)
Spoonful of Almond Butter (TJ’s and Whole Foods creamy unsweetened are best)
Blend together and enjoy!
