Hello! This recipe post is not a Daniela-approved one. I thought I’d stop by (my own blog) real quick to share with you a very well kept secret of mine: how I make the fluffiest pancakes.
Throughout high school, college and after, I’ve always been the go-to girl for pancakes. I swear! One of my college neighbors even bought me Aunt Jemima mix for Christmas one year so I could always be prepared to make him pancakes. Anyway, concocting the perfect pancake is a lot easier than you may think. All you need is your favorite pancake mix, whatever ingredients that recipe calls for, and…applesauce!
Often applesauce is used as a substitution when oil or eggs aren’t available. However if you add it with all of the other ingredients, it literally fluffs the pancakes in a moist (worst word) way. I use half of a single serving size of Mott’s all natural/unsweetened.
Additional pro tip: throw cinnamon into the batter and your friends and family will consider you the Bobby Flay of pancakes.
