Hey guys! I completely forgot to do one of these posts at the end of March, but honestly, March is such a dreary month and I don’t think I could’ve even made this list if I tried. Oh well. April was a great month! Between my trip to Ireland (which I’ll share soon) and spring weather teasing us every other day, there hasn’t been much consistency in what I’m wearing/using, but let’s try this out anyway!
Also, I’m going to add onto this series by featuring a favorite book, show and social media account I read/watched/discovered within the month! Scroll to the bottom of this post for April’s picks!
Kate Spade Card Holder: Full disclosure, I did not buy this card holder; it was a gift from Kate Spade. I took it to Ireland as my wallet, only keeping my driver’s license and international credit card with me, and it was perfect! Sometimes, I just slipped it right in my pocket when I didn’t need a whole bag. Once I returned home, I inserted my work IDs into the slots, and I’m very happy with the way it’s working out. Mine is black, but it’s available in some really pretty prints right now, like this, this and this which would be perfect in your beach bag!
Banana Republic Trench Coat: I was afraid to drop this off to the cleaners a couple of weeks ago because I have been living in it. A trench coat is a must-have for your spring wardrobe. If it’s still chilly, a scarf pairs well, too. I’ve always wanted the Burberry one, but as of now, my Banana one is a few years old and is still holding up beautifully.
Image Ageless Serum: After Ireland, I treated myself to a Heyday facial, which you already know I love. My skin therapist recommended this all-natural serum to add to my morning routine to minimize fine lines and smooth the skin, and I’ve been loving it. An updated skincare post will come soon!
Lululemon Zip Up: It’s finally run outside weather!! While this makes me so happy, I wouldn’t survive without my Lululemon compression zip ups. They fit so snugly that they keep me extra warm. Plus, thumb-holes are a secret fashion excitement of mine.
Eco at Heart Straws: Now that I’m transitioning into more iced beverages than hot ones, My reusuable stainless steel straws are always with me. If everyone stopped using plastic straws…imagine the impact?! These were also a gift from the company, and my full post about them is here.
Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan: This memoir was recommended to me by a coworker, and I’m so glad she told me about it because I wouldn’t have ever picked it up on my own. The title is linked to my review, and that’s linked to purchase if you are as intrigued as I was! Also, there was a movie about Susannah that came out in 2016, but if you don’t want to read her story but have lingering curiosity, maybe you can watch that instead.
Troy: A Fallen City on Netflix: Think, the Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt movie times eight. That’s how many hour-long episodes there are in this BBC recount of the fall of Troy. It’s a little violent and sexual at times, but overall, I was really into the costumes, sets and overall execution of the show. Highly recommend.
Orlando Soria on Instagram: You guys. If I start all of my upcoming posts with this phrase, it’s because Orlando starts all of his Instagram stories this way and I watch.them.all. He’s an L.A.-based interior designer who just came out with a book, and on IG stories, he literally speaks into the camera and is just hysterical. I can watch his stories all day long. I’m also waitlisted to purchase his book (new biggest fan over here), which I’ll let you know what I think about it once I get it!
