As my skincare, hair and beauty products run out, I’ve been making a conscious effort to replace them with ones that are all natural and cruelty free. At first, I wasn’t the happiest with some of my new product choices. I even reached out to a company or two to make sure I was using them right…
But then all of a sudden, I noticed I’ve fallen in love with my new products! I guess my skin needed time to adjust and get used to everything? Either way, I’m happy with the changes I’m seeing physically and also internally. It feels good knowing exactly what’s going into and on my skin, and that no animals were harmed to give me moisturizer.
Lately, I’ve been all about the serums. I love how my skin laps up their benefits, and how I feel their rejuvenation powers when I’m makeup-free. As of now, I’m using Image Pure Hylauronic Filler serum and Sunday Riley under eye Auto Correct under my moisturizer in the morning, and Dr. Roebuck’s Boost & Tighten Serum and Summer Fridays night moisturizer. I am also considering Orveda’s Botanical Booster serum after trying it out, for summer days I don’t want to do the full morning routine. For deodorant, I’m using Schmidt’s (in Jasmine Tea).
Still to Transition: Daytime moisturizer
For concealer, I switched to RMS Un-Coverup (in 22), and instead of a foundation or tinted moisturizer, I went with the Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation (in Ivory). I recently told my sister I notice my face looks more alive towards the end of the day, since I switched. Upon research, I learned this is from the green tea in the products. The longer it sits on your face, it interacts with your skin to become “skin-like.” So cool.
Still to Transition: Bronzer, Blush
I recently complained about the way my hair is drying, and I still feel that way. However, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been using Loma Curl Cream post-shower, which is all natural, and I’m feeling a little better!
Still to Transition: Shampoo, Conditioner
This post comes at a great time because Sephora just announced Clean at Sephora…their curation of clean beauty products. I love shopping in Sephora and this will make it so much easier now. If you have any other all natural brands and/or products you love, please share!
