I’ll admit it: when I first bought Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask two years ago, I did so because of it’s pretty packaging and the fact that the brand was trending among beauty lovers. I did not expect to fall in love with the product, recommend it endlessly to friends or to be first in line (online) every time a new product launches. Shoutout #brandloyalty.
This post isn’t sponsored, but considering my entire skincare routine is made up of their products, I figured it’d be nice to share the brand, what I use and why I’m so into it.
Summer Fridays was started by two beauty bloggers: Lauren Gores Ireland and Marianna Hewitt back in 2016. They started with one product: Jet Lag Mask, and if you’ve ever listened to them speak about developing the brand (or if you follow RBA you’ve probably heard me talk about it, lol), they created the packaging with the sole intention of being Instagrammable. In fact, they revised the font size a bunch of times, testing lifestyle photography readability.
In the past couple of years, Summer Fridays has gained a cult following but stays true to their brand values: everything they release is vegan and cruelty-free in picture-worthy, recyclable packaging.
Presently, SF has a collection of seven products with hints at new launches all the time. I use five of those seven products every single day, and the other two a few times a week. When it comes to skincare, I firmly believe less is more and want the simplest, one-brand routine (that also won’t break the bank). If that hits home for you, keep reading.
If we were allowed to vote on next products to launch in the line, my votes would go towards a makeup remover and a sunscreen daytime lotion. @ Lauren and Marianna: thoughts?
And if you’re interested in trying out the brand, I suggest starting off with Jet Lag Mask and/or Lip Butter Balm. I dare you to regret it.
