This is kind of silly, but sometimes I forget to take care of my basic, personal needs throughout the day. It’s like, I’ll wake up, think of a quick item on my to do list and say, okay I’ll handle that really quick then I’ll hop into my morning routine, and start the day.
Except it never used to actually happen like that. Raise your hand if you know what I mean.
One of my lifelong friends – another multi-business owner – and I were talking about how work is life and life is work, and that even though day-to-day we enjoy ourselves, go on trips, etc. we could really use a minute to slow down and just…be people. How can you accomplish your goals and live your best life if you’re fatigued, ya know? So we came up with the personal dailies list, and it’s such a game changer that quite frankly, I’d be doing you a disservice by not sharing it.
To us, personal dailies are the things you need to reach your optimal potential. They are things that no matter what a client needs, or your boss says, cannot be skipped. I’ll share my list with you and I promise you’ll think some of these things are no-brainers, like why did I even add them? But the reason is because sometimes I don’t do them. I made this list in January 2021, and I can count on my hand (singular) the amount of days I’ve actually completed a full Dailies list. That doesn’t upset me; instead, it puts my day into perspective and shows me I need to be better and prioritizing myself.
So take a look at my list (I keep it as a checklist note pinned in the Notes app on my phone), and I encourage you to make your own. If you do, feel free to share yours with me on Instagram, and we can hold each other accountable for living our best, healthiest lives!!
